Plants and Animals from Ecuador… in extinction
This body of work was conceived as an homage to the land that I love, to the soil and life that grows on it. Its politics are twisted, entangled, and dark. We are all objects of a continuous form of extinction, of a continuous form of depredation that comes from corrupt governments and bureaucracy. But we live, we enforce the day by day with our saints and heroes, our pagan blood running healthy and alive inside our veins. This is an homage to my “ecuatorianity” , the pumas, insects, birds and “forefathers” that populate it.
